All the Best: I saw a letter in the local paper about how great Coppia was and my friend and I decided to try it. We had excellent food: warm mozzarella for appetizer (wrapped in prosciutto over a bed of arugala and peppers, pollo francese (with asparagus and potatoes) and linguine mare for dinner and ricotta pie for dessert. My friend and I split the appetizer and they brought it on two separate plates with no hesitation. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. The service was attentive and fast but they don't rush you. The atmoshphere was friendly, the price was great, the quality of the meal was excellent. So good in fact, I'm getting my husband to take me back tonight! The only negative is everything on the menu sounds so good, I can't decide what to get next - Veal parm? Osso Bucco? or maybe one of the seafood dishes. I hope Coppia is around for a long time so I will have a chance to try everything on the menu!
Refinement in technique: We have made a few attempts to try this restaurant and have not been able to for several reasons until tonight. The service was courteous and prompt and we had an excellent wine by the glass. Prices are reasonable and it was admirable that the kitchen produces its own outstanding breads. BUT, and here is the reason I am writing this....choose your battles my friends. I have been in the food business as a chef for nearly 30 years. Buy the bread from a great bakery and spend the time working on the food. Your place could be so quaint and delicious if you elevated the level by 2 notches on your cuisine. Fresh herbs with the pastas, grated parm bought to tables [and left] braciole that is cooked until tender , Fresh black pepper offered with salads are all examples of improvements I hope you make. You seem to have great intentions, I am offering my expertise as a chef and business owner to hopefully give you the outsider's view looking in. Buy bread, cook broccoli rabe until it is just tender...you will keep alot more customers happy.

Go! Enjoy!: My boyfriend and I and another couple traveled from Southern Westchester to dine at Coppia last Saturday night, after hearing great buzz about it, and we were not disappointed! We enjoyed a lovely glass of wine at the bar selected by our hostess upon arrival, and were seated in a timely fashion at a comfortable table. The ambience was classy - black and white photographs of Italy line the walls and we heard Andrea Boccelli in the background. As we watched our fellow patrons enjoying themselves and their meals - we couldn't decide what to order b/c it all seemed so wonderful! We asked that the Chef, Brian Cunningham, make recommendations, and Brian, who is at the top of his game, did not disappoint! We started with the Antipasti platter which was ample, colorful and tasty which was followed by the Sole Francese (my favorite) and Veal Sorrento (perfection!). Our third course was tasty Pasta with Garlic and Oil and an Asparagus/Broccoli Rabe plate. Yum! For dessert, the Apple Crisp was a standout as was the Creme Brulee. The prices are reasonable.
Most importantly for us, at this exclusive restaurant which seats less than 30 lucky ppl for dinner, our meal was not rushed - we had time to enjoy the company and the food - which is what an enjoyable dining experience is all about!
A Hit: You have to give this place a try!! A true hidden treasure.
